Winter/Spring - Club Velocity
Club Velocity is the competitive club volleyball component for the Rogers Area Youth Volleyball Association. Our practices are held in school facilities in the south end of ISD 728, but we welcome EVERYONE!
TIME COMMITMENT & AGE DIVISIONS
All practices are held on weeknights at Rogers High School, Rogers Middle School, or Hassan Elementary and will begin the week of December 1st. No practice during ISD728 Winter Break and Spring Break.
YDT (Youth Development Team) - Players must be 12's eligible (born July 2013) or younger. Practice one night a week (1.5 hours). 5-6 local events taking place on a Saturday or Sunday. The season will run through mid-March.
12's-14's - Practice two nights a week (3 hours total). 7-8 events taking place on a Saturday or Sunday. One or two of the events will span Saturday and Sunday. One travel tournament with destinations to include Duluth, Rochester, or similar distance. The season will run through mid-April.
15's-18's - Practice two nights a week (4 hours total). 8-9 events . One or two of the events will span Saturday and Sunday. Events could include travel to WI Dells, Des Moines or Rochester depending on events scheduled. The season will run through mid-April.
Skills Training - Each team will have the opportunity to participate in optional Skills Training. This is historically on Wednesday nights. All practice and event schedules are currently being built and will be released after tryouts are completed in mid November.
Club Fees
A downpayment is due at the time of registration. The remaining club fees will be invoiced via Crossbar. If you child does not make a team or declines the team, they are eligible for a full refund less the tryout fee.
We attempt to keep our fees as low as possible for families. Comparisons to other clubs in the area show our fees to be 3x-4x lower!

Weather
Minnesota is known for unpredictable winter weather. In the event of severe weather, practice will be canceled. If you hear that Elk River schools have been closed/canceled, we will not hold practice. DO NOT TRAVEL IF YOU DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING TO PRACTICE! JUST NOTIFY YOUR COACH!
Our general rule is that we don't cancel practice unless ISD 728 cancels activities. If this happens, we will send out an email via Crossbar and cancel the practices on the Crossbar app.
Club Velocity - JO
Club Velocity is a Junior Olympic (J.O.) volleyball club running from December to mid or late April, focused on competitive play, skill development, and team growth.
