The Travel Program is tryouts based for athletes grades 5-8.
When
The programs run the day after Labor day through October.
House Program
Summary: The House Program is open to players from 2-8 grade. This is an entry level program designed to teach the fundamentals of volleyball in a fun, encouraging and energetic environment. Teams are formed based on grade level. Friend requests are honored as much as possible, but not guaranteed. Scrimmages will be scheduled against other Rogers house teams.
Practices: Mondays, 1.5 hours.
Practice Location: Rogers High School, Rogers Middle School and/or Hassan Elementary School
Inter-Association Scrimmages: When possible, scrimmages against other nearby house programs are scheduled. This may include RAYVA hosting or visiting teams in Elk River, Saint Michael, Ramsey, Champlin or other nearby communities. These scrimmages may fall on week nights or on a weekend day that is different than the standard team practice day.
Times: TBD
Cost: $120 (includes shirt and practice/scrimmage time)
Parent Coach Volunteers: This program cannot survive without our awesome parent coach volunteers. Our vision is for each of these young players to learn the fundamental skills of volleyball in a fun and encouraging, energetic environment. Coaching experience is not required. We will provide coaches with practice formats and drills for teaching skills in a fun and engaging manner. All that is required is a great attitude, a small time commitment and the desire to impact these young people in our community. Please consider coaching a team.
Travel Program
Summary: We offer a Travel Program for players who are interested in an option for more practices and competition against other teams across the metro area. The Travel Teams will be open to girls entering 5th through 8th grade.
Competition Dates: Players must be able to commit to the five Saturday competition dates in the months of September and October .
Tryouts: will be on Monday, August 18. 5th & 6th grade: 5:15 - 7:15 PM
7th & 8th grade: 7:30 - 9:30 PM
Rogers High School
Practices: will be twice a week for 1-1.5 hours each session (total of 2-3 hours a week), locations, dates and times to be determined.
Teams: We will have two (2) 5/6th grade travel teams and three (3) 7/8th grade travel teams. Players not placed on a Travel Team will be placed on a house league.
Cost: $250 (includes shirt, practice time, coaching, and travel league fees). If registering for Travel Team tryouts, please pay the $120 for the standard youth program registration and check the box indicating interest in trying out for a Travel Team. Provided your player is selected for one of the Travel Teams, the remaining $130 will be due shortly after tryouts and payment options will be communicated at that time.
