For J.O. Volleyball
Player eligibility age divisions are set by USA Volleyball. Using the chart found here: Age Divisions: J.O. Volleyball (Club Velocity). The chart shows the youngest division a player may compete in — players can always tryout to "play up" into an older division, but never a younger one.
The letter of commitment helps ensure each player is dedicated to their team for the season. Because players are often selected by position, every roster spot is carefully balanced. If a player accepts a spot and later withdraws, it can disrupt the team's lineup and — just as importantly — take away a spot that another athlete could have filled. Signing the letter confirms your commitment so coaches can finalize rosters with confidence and fairness to everyone involved.
